PLAYING IN A FLEX SERIES Empty
PostSubject: PLAYING IN A FLEX SERIES   PLAYING IN A FLEX SERIES EmptySat Sep 11, 2010 8:18 am

Flex Series play can be of great benefit for all of us with busy schedules. Used properly, it can help us plan ahead and play games if we know we will be unavailable for a period of time. This helps the league move along and prevent unresolved games.

I'm going to ask, but NOT require, that we don't abuse Flex Scheduling. Part of the drama of a baseball season is anticipating the outcome over the course of time. If you play too far ahead, its like reading the last chaper of the book first. Plus, then it causes you to wait around because you've played everyone you were supposed to play, and you have to stand, hands in pocket, while you wait for everyone to catch up.

Use Flex Scheduling in you have to. Use Flex Scheduling to play if you are bored once in a while. Don't forget to use the proper rotation for the series you are playing. But don't abuse the system and put the league out of wack. Nothing looks stranger than a team with 10 games in hand.
